Shock Absorber X-TREME Ducati DesertX 2021-2025, TracTive

The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber with an external reservoir and PDSII bottom-out protection.

The damping characteristics have been developed specifically for the Ducati DesertX. Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently of each other. The compression damping also features separate high- and low-speed adjustments.

The external reservoir provides a larger oil volume and better heat dissipation. This ensures that damping performance remains as consistent as possible even under high loads, such as on long off-road stages.

The shock absorber is available as X-TREME + HPA with hydraulic spring preload via a handwheel.

Adjustment Options

Rebound: approx. 18 clicks
Low-speed compression: adjustment of damping for slow compression movements, such as when accelerating or on long undulations
High-speed compression: adjustment of damping for fast compression movements, such as potholes or harsh terrain edges
Spring preload: mechanical on the shock absorber

PDSII Bottom-Out Protection

The PDSII system utilizes an additional piston that creates progressive damping towards the end of the suspension travel. This reduces harsh bottoming out during heavy impacts or jumps.

Available Heights

The shock absorber is available in three different versions:

Standard height
35 mm lowering
25 mm raising

For the lowered version, an adjustment of the side and center stand may be necessary.

We recommend coordinating the suspension height between the front and rear wheels. Ideally, the shock absorber should be combined with an appropriately adjusted fork cartridge.

Individual Tuning

We tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.

For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and a brief note on your primary area of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).

The shock absorber comes standard with an 85 N/mm spring. Depending on rider weight and intended use, softer or harder springs are also available.
