X-TREME + HPA Shock Absorber Ducati DesertX Rally 2024-2025, TracTive

The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber with an external reservoir, hydraulic spring preload adjuster (HPA), and PDSII bottoming control.

The damping configuration was developed specifically for the Ducati DesertX Rally. Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently of one another. The compression damping also features separate high- and low-speed adjustments.

The external reservoir provides a larger oil volume and better heat dissipation. As a result, the damping performance remains as constant as possible even under high loads, such as during longer off-road stages.

Using the hydraulic spring preload handwheel, the shock absorber can be quickly adjusted to different load conditions without the need for tools.

The shock absorber is available as an X-TREME model without hydraulic spring preload.

Adjustment options

Rebound: approx. 18 clicks
Low-speed compression: adjustment of damping for slow compression movements, such as during acceleration or on long undulations
High-speed compression: adjustment of damping for fast compression movements, such as potholes or hard off-road ledges
Spring preload: hydraulic via handwheel, more than 60 clicks

PDSII bottoming control

The PDSII system works with an additional piston that generates progressive damping toward the end of the suspension travel. This reduces harsh bottoming out during heavy impacts or jumps.

Available heights

The shock absorber is available in three different versions:

Standard height
25 mm lowering
15 mm raising

With the lowered version, it may be necessary to adjust the side and center stands.

Individual tuning

We tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.

For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and a brief note on your primary area of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).

The shock absorber is supplied as standard with an 85 N/mm spring. Softer or harder springs are also available depending on rider weight and intended use.
