X-TREME shock absorber + HPA KTM 950 Adventure S 2003-2006, TracTive

The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber with an external reservoir, hydraulic preload adjuster (HPA), and PDSII bottom-out protection.

The damping characteristics have been specifically developed for the KTM 950 Adventure S. Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently of each other. The compression damping additionally features separate high- and low-speed adjustments.

The external reservoir provides a larger oil volume and better heat dissipation. This ensures that the damping performance remains as consistent as possible even under high loads, for example during longer off-road stages.

The handwheel of the hydraulic preload adjuster allows the shock absorber to be quickly adapted to different load conditions without tools.

Adjustment options

Rebound damping: approx. 18 clicks
Low-speed compression: adjustment of damping during slow compression movements, for example when accelerating or on long undulations
High-speed compression: adjustment of damping during fast compression movements, for example in potholes or over hard terrain edges
Spring preload: hydraulic via handwheel, more than 60 clicks

PDSII bottom-out protection

The PDSII system works with an additional piston that generates progressive damping towards the end of the suspension travel. This reduces hard bottoming out during heavy impacts or jumps.

We tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.

For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and a brief note on the primary area of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).

The shock absorber is supplied as standard with a 130 N/mm spring. Depending on the rider weight and intended use, softer or harder springs are also available.
