X-TREME Shock Absorber Honda XL750 Transalp 2023-2025, TracTive

The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber featuring an external reservoir and PDSII bottoming-out protection.

The damping configuration has been specifically developed for the Honda XL750 Transalp. Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently of one another. The compression damping additionally features separate high- and low-speed adjustment.

The external reservoir provides a larger oil volume and improved heat dissipation. This ensures that the damping performance remains as consistent as possible even under high loads, for example during longer off-road stages.

The shock absorber is available as the X-TREME + HPA, featuring hydraulic spring preload via a handwheel.

Adjustment options

Rebound: approx. 18 clicks
Low-speed compression: adjustment of damping during slow suspension movements, such as when accelerating or on long undulations
High-speed compression: adjustment of damping during rapid suspension movements, such as over potholes or hard terrain edges
Spring preload: mechanical on the shock absorber

Technical details

46 mm piston diameter
16 mm piston rod made of hardened 42CrMo steel
Aluminum housing
External, fixed-mounted reservoir
PDSII bottoming-out protection
Fully serviceable and individually tunable

PDSII bottoming-out protection

The PDSII system works with an additional piston that generates progressive damping towards the end of the suspension travel. This reduces harsh bottoming-out during severe impacts or jumps.

Available heights

The shock absorber is available in three different versions:

Standard height
25 mm lowering
25 mm raising

For the lowered version, an adjustment of the side and center stand may be necessary.

We recommend coordinating the suspension height between the front and rear wheels. Ideally, the shock absorber should be combined with a suitably adjusted fork cartridge.

Individual tuning

We tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.

For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and a brief note on the primary area of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).

You can simply send this information to us via email or reply directly to the order confirmation.

The shock absorber is supplied as standard with a 100 N/mm spring (25 mm raising: 95 N/mm). Depending on rider weight and intended use, softer or harder springs are also available.
