DMD T-865X Extreme Tab, available with your choice of On-Road or Off-Road mount

The popular T-865 navigation tablet in the latest X-treme version

The new navigation tablet impresses with a bright display and a 180-degree viewing angle.
The internal storage has been increased to a generous 128 GB, which offers more than enough space for map material, pictures, music, and more.

The tablet is waterproof to the IP67 standard and features a dual waterproof charging system.

You can choose between two different mounts, which are optimally tailored to their respective fields of use:

The lightweight "On-Road mount" is designed for road and light off-road use. It has integrated charging pins that automatically charge the tablet as soon as it is placed in the mount.
The robust "Off-road mount" was developed specifically for tough off-road use. It does not use charging pins – instead, the tablet is charged via the waterproof M10 screw connector built into the back. Perfect for extreme conditions.
(Not compatible with DMD T865 sun visor and protective case)

Both mounts are lockable, offering additional protection against theft.

Just like the T-865, the T-865X off-road navigation tablet can be connected via cable to the following handlebar remotes: DMD Remote 1, DMD Remote 2, DMD Remote 3, Silverfox H1+, and Silverfox C1

What is the advantage of the T865X over a 7-inch tablet?

The larger display offers more room for maps, GPX tracks, and additional navigation information.

However, the T865X is larger overall and requires more space on the motorcycle. Especially on smaller enduros, you should therefore check whether there is enough space for a stable mount.

What is the difference between the on-road and off-road mount?

The on-road mount is more compact and powers the tablet via integrated charging contacts.

The off-road mount is much more robust and offers a particularly stable attachment. In return, it is larger and heavier. With this mount, power is supplied via a separate connection on the tablet.

We would therefore not choose the mount based on looks alone, but on how demanding your off-road riding is.

How easy is it to read the display in sunlight?

The T865X can be used in daylight. However, in direct comparison with the particularly bright devices in our range, it is not one of the leaders in terms of display brightness.

If you often ride in strong sunlight, it is worth comparing it with the NOR7E, the Carpe Iter Caretta, or the F2R Y1000.

Is the surcharge for the T880X worth it?

The T880X is the newer generation with more modern hardware.

If you already own a T865X and are satisfied with it, you do not automatically need to switch. However, if you are buying new, we would compare both devices and decide whether the additional features of the T880X are worth the surcharge to you.

Can I also use the full DMD2 app on other Android devices?

Yes. With the T865X, the full DMD2 app is already included in the purchase price. An additional subscription is not required for use on the tablet.

If you register your T865X in your DMD-HUB account, you can also use the full DMD2 app on other compatible Android devices.

To do this, simply install DMD2 on your Android smartphone, for example, and log in with the same DMD-HUB account. The full version will then be unlocked at no additional license cost.
