Rade Garage KTM 690 Lite Kit

The Rade Garage KTM 690 Lite Kit is a compact cockpit solution for riders looking for a clean and functional navigation platform on their KTM 690.
The Lite Kit is available for model years 2019–2020 and 2021–2024 and, according to the manufacturer, is compatible with both the KTM 690 Enduro and the 690 SMC R.
It is aimed at those who want more space for navigation in their direct field of view without needing a large rally tower.

The focus is on the compact tower with a 12mm navigation crossbar.
According to the manufacturer, two smartphones or a tablet up to 8 inches can be mounted on the crossbar, which is decoupled using silent blocks. The cushioned mounting reduces vibrations, which is particularly useful for sensitive devices during off-road use.
A USB port is also integrated.

An important point regarding the KTM 690 Lite Kit is the fairing itself. According to RADE/GARAGE, the windscreen was developed to match the lines of the KTM 690 and also covers larger navigation devices in the cockpit area. It is manufactured using an injection molding process, typically associated with OEM parts, and can be mounted at two different heights. This allows the position to be adjusted slightly to suit the rider, the setup, and the desired level of wind protection.

The actual tower construction is also designed with practical use in mind. The tower is made of 2mm aluminum and is designed as a closed unit. As a result, cables and plug connections are better protected against water, dirt, and spray. Access to the interior remains simple, however, as the cover can be opened with just a few screws. The base plate is CNC-machined according to the manufacturer to ensure stability at the base.

The scope of delivery for the KTM 690 Lite Kit includes the windscreen, the aluminum tower with GPS crossbar, a 12mm crossbar adapter, a USB socket, brake line routing, an OSRAM LED bulb, and the mounting hardware. According to RADE/GARAGE, installation should take about one to two hours. This makes the kit an interesting solution for anyone wanting to functionally expand their KTM 690 cockpit without making the motorcycle look unnecessarily large or heavy.

The windscreen included in the KTM 690 Lite Kit does not have a TÜV certification, unlike the windscreen for the large Rade Garage Rally Kit.
