METZELER Six Days Extreme RALLY 90/100-21
– Robust off-road / rally front tire with a strong carcass
The METZELER Six Days Extreme RALLY 90/100-21 was developed specifically for rally use and has proven itself in events such as the Dakar Rally. Its particularly stable carcass reliably protects the rim and mousse and ensures consistent handling over many rally kilometers.
Due to the robust construction, the mousse is subjected to less stress, which can have a positive effect on its service life. The versatile tread pattern offers good grip on a wide variety of surfaces – from gravel and rock to sand and hard tracks.
Practical experience from THATS-RALLY:
We have tested the METZELER Six Days Extreme RALLY in rally conditions ourselves.
Although the name reminds one of the well-known Metzeler Six Days Extreme enduro tire, the two tires differ significantly. The rally tire has a much stiffer carcass and is designed consistently for long distances and high loads.
At first, the similar name made us rather skeptical, as we know the classic Six Days Extreme as a soft hard-enduro tire. After our own tests, however, we were convinced by the rally version.
The carcass remains very stable even after several days of rallying and reliably protects the mousse and rim. The tread pattern works on almost all surfaces and offers predictable grip.
In combination with a rally mousse, the tire feels noticeably firmer than a classic enduro front tire. The handling feel is roughly equivalent to an air pressure of 1.4 to 1.7 bar. This protects the mousse and rim better, but requires some getting used to.
