Seat Concepts uses a proprietary foam that is of higher quality than the stock foam. It provides a softer and more active ride while still offering sufficient support. The shape of the seat matches the stock contour at the front, so that the legs are not spread further apart, and widens towards the center to distribute weight over a larger area. This creates more comfort for long distances.

- Black Sandpaper: The grippiest surface among the comfort seats, rough like coarse sandpaper. Keeps you securely in place during acceleration and braking. Best used with motorcycle pants; jeans tend to snag.
- Black Carbon Fiber: Smooth vinyl in a subtle carbon look, with low grip.

In Europe, the KLR650 was sold until 2004. Whether the seat fits the European version KLR650 C (from 1995 onwards) has not been confirmed by Seat Concepts.
