Seat Concepts uses a proprietary foam that is of higher quality than the stock foam. It provides a softer and more active suspension while still offering sufficient support. The shape of the seat matches the stock contour at the front, so your legs are not spread any further apart, and widens toward the middle to distribute weight over a larger area. This results in more comfort for long distances.

Optional seat cover
- Black Sandpaper: The grippiest surface of the comfort seats, rough like coarse sandpaper. Keeps you securely in place when accelerating and braking. Best used with motorcycle pants; jeans tend to snag.
- Black Carbon Fiber: Smooth vinyl in a subtle carbon look, with little grip.
- Black Semi-Grip: The all-rounder. Provides good grip, but you can shift on the seat at any time. Comfortable on long days and just as good with jeans as with motorcycle or MX/enduro pants.

In Europe, the KLR650 was sold until 2004. Whether the seat fits the European KLR650 C model (from 1995 onwards) has not been confirmed by Seat Concepts.
