The rider's area features extra padding at the front to stop you from sliding toward the tank. In the passenger area, the foam is approximately 25 mm higher and the seating surface is wider. This won't turn the MT-09 into a tourer, but it makes riding two-up significantly more comfortable. This is complemented by the superior foam from Seat Concepts.

- Seat cover: Black Sandpaper – The grippiest surface of the comfort seats, as rough as coarse sandpaper. Keeps you securely in place during acceleration and braking. Best used with motorcycle pants; jeans tend to snag.
- Side cover: Black Carbon Fiber – Smooth vinyl with a subtle carbon look, offering little grip so that the legs remain free at the sides.
