X-TREME Shock Absorber + HPA KTM 890 Adventure 2021-2025, TracTive

The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber with an external reservoir, hydraulic preload adjuster (HPA), and PDSII bottom-out protection.

The damping configuration has been specifically developed for the KTM 890 Adventure. Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently of each other. The compression damping additionally features separate high- and low-speed adjustments.

The external reservoir provides a larger oil volume and better heat dissipation. As a result, the damping performance remains as consistent as possible even under high loads, for example during longer off-road stages.

Using the handwheel of the hydraulic spring preload adjuster, the shock absorber can be quickly adapted to different load conditions without the need for tools.

Adjustment Options

Rebound: approx. 18 clicks
Low-speed compression: adjustment of damping during slow compression movements, for example when accelerating or over long undulations
High-speed compression: adjustment of damping during fast compression movements, for example over potholes or harsh off-road edges
Spring preload: hydraulic via handwheel, more than 60 clicks

PDSII Bottom-Out Protection

The PDSII system works with an additional piston that generates progressive damping towards the end of the suspension travel. This reduces harsh bottoming out during heavy impacts or jumps.

Available Heights

The shock absorber is available in four different versions:

Standard height
25 mm lowering
15 mm raising
40 mm raising

For the lowered version, an adjustment of the side and center stand may be necessary.

We recommend coordinating the suspension height of the front and rear wheels. Ideally, the shock absorber should be combined with a correspondingly adapted fork cartridge.

Individual Tuning

We will tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use prior to delivery.

For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and brief information about the primary area of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).

The shock absorber comes with a 110 N/mm spring as standard. Depending on rider weight and intended use, softer or harder springs are also available.
