X-TREME Shock Absorber + HPA Yamaha Tenere 700 Rally 2025-2026, TracTive

The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber for the Yamaha Tenere 700 Rally, featuring an external reservoir, hydraulic preload adjuster (HPA), and PDSII bottom-out protection. This shock does not fit the standard Tenere 700.

Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently. The compression stage also features separate high- and low-speed adjustment.

With its extra-long external reservoir, the shock holds significantly more oil than a stock unit. This keeps the oil cooler and ensures damping performance remains as consistent as possible, even under heavy loads. The large 46 mm piston offers better damping performance than the smaller piston found in the stock shock.

The hydraulic preload adjuster handwheel allows the shock to be quickly adapted to different load conditions without the need for tools.

The shock is available as the X-TREME model without hydraulic preload adjustment.

Adjustment Options

• Rebound: adjuster at the bottom of the shock
• Low-speed compression: adjustment of damping during slow compression movements, such as during acceleration or long undulations
• High-speed compression: adjustment of damping during fast compression movements, such as potholes or harsh terrain edges
• Spring preload: hydraulic via handwheel

PDSII Bottom-out Protection

The PDSII system works with an additional piston that creates progressive damping towards the end of the stroke. This reduces harsh bottoming out during heavy impacts or jumps.

Available Heights

The shock is available in two different versions:

• Standard height
• 25 mm lowering

With the lowered version, it may be necessary to adjust the side and center stands.

We recommend matching the suspension height of the front and rear wheels. Ideally, the shock should be combined with a correspondingly adjusted fork cartridge.

Individual Setup

We will tune the shock to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.

For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and a brief note on your primary type of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).

The shock is supplied with a 75 N/mm spring as standard. Softer or harder springs are also available depending on rider weight and intended use.
