X-TREME Shock Absorber Yamaha Tenere 700 2019-2024, TracTive

The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber with an external reservoir and PDSII bottoming-out protection.

The damping configuration was developed specifically for the Yamaha Tenere 700. Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently. The compression damping additionally features separate high- and low-speed adjustment.

The external reservoir provides a larger oil volume and better heat dissipation. This ensures the damping performance remains as consistent as possible even under heavy loads, for example on long off-road stages.

The shock absorber is available as an X-TREME + HPA with a hydraulic spring preload adjuster via a handwheel.

Adjustment options

Rebound: approx. 18 clicks
Low-speed compression: adjustment of damping during slow compression movements, for example when accelerating or over long, rolling bumps
High-speed compression: adjustment of damping during fast compression movements, for example over potholes or harsh terrain edges
Spring preload: mechanical on the shock absorber

PDSII bottoming-out protection

The PDSII system works with an additional piston that generates progressive damping towards the end of the suspension travel. This reduces harsh bottoming out during heavy impacts or jumps.

Available heights

The shock absorber is available in four different versions:

Standard height
20 mm lowering
35 mm lowering
25 mm raising

For the lowered versions, an adjustment of the side and center stand may be necessary.

We recommend matching the suspension height of the front and rear wheels. Ideally, the shock absorber should be combined with an appropriately adjusted fork cartridge.

Individual tuning

We tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.

For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and a brief note regarding your primary area of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).

The shock absorber is supplied as standard with an 80 N/mm spring (20 mm lowering: 75 N/mm; 35 mm lowering and 25 mm raising: 85 N/mm). Depending on rider weight and intended use, softer or harder springs are also available.
