SilverFox C1 Controller

With the new C1 remote control, you can operate common navigation apps on your Android device.
By using two 4-way joysticks instead of the usual buttons, the controller has been designed to be very space-saving and extremely compact.

The controller requires very little space on the handlebar and can therefore be easily mounted even on the crowded handlebars of modern motorcycles.
It can be mounted above or below the handlebar.

Operating the C1 units

Button mapping:

The C1 controller features two selectable button configurations (F1 / F2 keysets). Both keysets are pre-programmed to send different key codes to the Android device. For example, the "Zoom-in" button sends a different command sequence in F1 mode than in F2 mode. The C1 controller remembers the last used keyset state before it was turned off.

To change the button mapping on the C1 controller, hold the "Control Joystick" pressed down. The LED indicates the active F-mode.

The zoom direction can be changed by briefly pressing both joysticks simultaneously.

F1 button mapping:

This configuration is optimized for map applications such as DMD2, OsmAnd, LocusMaps, Google Maps, Waze, Gaia GPS, etc.

• Panning Joystick:

  • Moves the map left, right, up, and down.

• Control Joystick:

  • Forward / Backward → Zooms in / out.
  • Push up → Centers the map to the current position.
  • Hold up → Orients the map to North (if supported by the navigation app).

F2 button mapping:

This configuration is optimized for apps with special button mappings, e.g., Mapitare, Ranniot, Tracker. It can also be used for Locus Maps or OsmAnd if custom controller commands are set up there.

• Panning Joystick:

  • Moves the map left, right, up, and down.

• Control Joystick:

  • Push up → Letter "C" to center the map.

  • Hold up → Letter "D" (additional functions in some apps).

  • Push forward → Character "-" and KEY_NUM_MINUS (zoom out).

  • Hold forward → Letter "A".

  • Push backward → Character "=" and KEY_NUM_PLUS (zoom in).

  • Hold backward → Letter "B".
