Shock absorber X-CITE + HPA Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin 2016-2017, TracTive

The TracTive X-CITE is a high-quality shock absorber featuring adjustable rebound damping, hydraulic preload adjustment (HPA), and PDSII bottom-out protection. It is a suitable replacement for the stock shock absorber, especially if damping does not need to be adjusted regularly for different riding conditions.

The damping characteristics have been specially developed for the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin. The rebound adjuster changes both rebound and compression damping simultaneously in a balanced ratio.

The shock absorber uses damping oil and nitrogen without a separating piston (emulsion design). This makes the X-CITE a good, cost-effective choice for street use.

The hydraulic preload adjuster's handwheel allows for quick adjustment to different load conditions without the need for tools.

The TracTive X-TREME is available with an external reservoir and independently adjustable compression damping.

PDSII bottom-out protection

The PDSII system utilizes an additional piston that generates progressive damping towards the end of the stroke. This reduces harsh bottoming out during heavy impacts or jumps.

Available heights

The shock absorber is available in two different versions:

Standard height
25 mm lowering

For the lowered version, adjustment of the side and center stands may be necessary.

We recommend coordinating the suspension height for both the front and rear wheels. Ideally, the shock absorber should be combined with a correspondingly adjusted fork cartridge.

Individual tuning

We tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.

For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and a brief note on the primary area of use (street, touring, off-road, etc.).

The shock absorber is supplied as standard with an 85 N/mm spring (25 mm lowering: 90 N/mm). Depending on the rider's weight and intended use, softer or harder springs are also available.
