X-CITE + HPA Shock Absorber for Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin 2018-2019, TracTive

The TracTive X-CITE is a high-quality shock absorber featuring adjustable rebound, hydraulic preload adjustment (HPA), and PDSII bottoming protection. It is suitable as a replacement for the stock shock, particularly when damping does not need to be frequently adjusted for different road conditions.

The damping calibration was developed specifically for the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin. The rebound adjuster changes both rebound and compression damping simultaneously in a balanced ratio.

The shock absorber operates with damping oil and nitrogen without a separating piston (emulsion design). This makes the X-CITE a great value choice for road use.

The hydraulic preload adjuster's handwheel allows for quick adjustments to the shock absorber for different load conditions, with no tools required.

The TracTive X-TREME is available with an external reservoir and separately adjustable compression damping.

PDSII Bottoming Protection

The PDSII system utilizes an additional piston that generates progressive damping towards the end of the suspension travel. This reduces hard bottoming during heavy impacts or jumps.

Available Heights

The shock absorber is available in three different versions:

Standard height
25 mm lowering
20 mm raising

For the lowered version, adjustments to the side stand and center stand may be necessary.

We recommend coordinating the suspension height for both the front and rear wheels. Ideally, the shock absorber should be combined with a correspondingly adjusted fork cartridge.

Individual Setup

We will tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.

For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and a brief note on your primary type of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).

The shock absorber comes standard with an 85 N/mm spring. Depending on rider weight and intended use, softer or harder springs are also available.
