X-TREME Shock Absorber + HPA Ducati DesertX 2021-2025, TracTive
The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber with an external reservoir, hydraulic preload adjuster (HPA), and PDSII bottoming-out protection.
The damping characteristics have been specifically developed for the Ducati DesertX. Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently of each other. The compression stage also features separate high- and low-speed adjustment.
The external reservoir provides a larger oil volume and better heat dissipation. This keeps damping performance as constant as possible even under high loads, for example during longer off-road stages.
The shock absorber can be quickly adjusted to different load conditions using the handwheel of the hydraulic preload adjuster, without the need for tools.
The shock absorber is available as the X-TREME version without hydraulic preload adjustment.
Adjustment Options
- Rebound: approx. 18 clicks
- Low-speed compression: adjustment of damping during slow compression movements, for example when accelerating or over long undulations
- High-speed compression: adjustment of damping during fast compression movements, for example over potholes or hard terrain edges
- Spring preload: hydraulic via handwheel, more than 60 clicks

PDSII Bottoming-Out Protection
The PDSII system uses an additional piston that generates progressive damping towards the end of the stroke. This reduces hard bottoming out during heavy impacts or jumps.
Available Heights
The shock absorber is available in two different versions:
- Standard height
- 35 mm lowering
With the lowered version, an adjustment of the side and center stand may be necessary.
We recommend matching the suspension height of the front and rear wheels. Ideally, the shock absorber should be combined with an appropriately adjusted fork cartridge.
Individual Setup
We will tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.
For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and a brief note on your primary area of use (road, travel, off-road, etc.).

The shock absorber comes standard with an 85 N/mm spring. Depending on rider weight and intended use, softer or harder springs are also available.
