X-TREME Shock Absorber + HPA Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin 2020-2025, TracTive

The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber featuring an external reservoir, hydraulic preload adjuster (HPA), and PDSII bottoming protection.

The damping configuration was developed specifically for the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin. Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently of each other. The compression damping additionally features separate high- and low-speed adjustment.

The external reservoir provides a larger oil volume and improved heat dissipation. This ensures that the damping performance remains as consistent as possible, even under high stress, such as during longer off-road stages.

The hydraulic preload adjuster's handwheel allows for quick adaptation of the shock absorber to different load conditions without the need for tools.

Adjustment Options

Rebound: approx. 18 clicks
Low-speed compression: adjustment of damping during slow compression movements, for example during acceleration or over long undulations
High-speed compression: adjustment of damping during fast compression movements, for example over potholes or harsh off-road edges
Spring preload: hydraulic via handwheel, more than 60 clicks

PDSII Bottoming Protection

The PDSII system works with an additional piston that generates progressive damping towards the end of the travel. This reduces harsh bottoming-out during heavy impacts or jumps.

Available Heights

The shock absorber is available in three different versions:

Standard height
25 mm lowering
20 mm raising

With the lowered version, adjustment of the side and center stands may be required.

We recommend matching the suspension height at the front and rear wheel. Ideally, the shock absorber should be combined with a correspondingly adapted fork cartridge.

Individual Setup

We will tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.

For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and brief information regarding the primary area of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).

As standard, the shock absorber is supplied with an 85 N/mm spring. Depending on rider weight and intended use, softer or harder springs are also available.
