X-TREME + HPA Shock Absorber Honda XL750 Transalp 2023-2025, TracTive
The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber with an external reservoir, hydraulic preload adjuster (HPA), and PDSII bottom-out protection.
The damping configuration has been specially developed for the Honda XL750 Transalp. Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently. The compression damping additionally features separate high- and low-speed adjustment.
The external reservoir provides a larger oil volume and better heat dissipation. This ensures that damping performance remains as consistent as possible even under heavy loads, such as during long off-road stretches.
The hydraulic spring preload handwheel allows the shock absorber to be quickly adapted to different load conditions without tools.
The shock absorber is available as an X-TREME model without the hydraulic preload adjuster.
Adjustment Options
- Rebound: approx. 18 clicks
- Low-speed compression: damping adjustment for slow suspension movements, such as during acceleration or long undulations
- High-speed compression: damping adjustment for fast suspension movements, such as potholes or hard terrain edges
- Spring preload: hydraulic via handwheel, more than 60 clicks
Technical Details
- 46 mm piston diameter
- 16 mm piston rod made of hardened 42CrMo steel
- Aluminum housing
- External, fixed-mount reservoir
- PDSII bottom-out protection
- Hydraulic Preload Adjuster (HPA), handwheel freely positionable via hose line
- Fully serviceable and individually tunable
PDSII Bottom-out Protection
The PDSII system works with an additional piston that generates progressive damping towards the end of the suspension travel. This reduces harsh bottoming out during heavy impacts or jumps.
Available Heights
The shock absorber is available in three different versions:
- Standard height
- 25 mm lowering
- 25 mm raising
For the lowered version, adjustments to the side and center stands may be necessary.
We recommend coordinating the suspension height for both the front and rear wheels. Ideally, the shock absorber should be combined with an appropriately matched fork cartridge kit.
Individual Tuning
We will tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.
For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and a brief note on your primary area of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).
You can simply send this information to us via email or reply directly to the order confirmation.
The shock absorber comes with a 100 N/mm spring as standard (25 mm raising: 95 N/mm). Softer or harder springs are also available depending on rider weight and intended use.
