X-TREME + HPA Shock Absorber Yamaha Tenere 700 2019-2024, TracTive
The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber with an external reservoir, hydraulic preload adjuster (HPA), and PDSII bottom-out protection.
The damping calibration was developed specifically for the Yamaha Tenere 700. Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently. The compression stage also features separate high and low-speed settings.
The external reservoir provides a larger oil volume and better heat dissipation. This ensures that damping performance remains as consistent as possible, even under high stress, such as on long off-road stages.
The hydraulic preload adjuster's handwheel allows the shock absorber to be quickly adjusted to different load conditions without tools.
The shock absorber is available as the X-TREME model without the hydraulic preload adjuster.
Adjustment Options
- Rebound: approx. 18 clicks
- Low-speed compression: adjustment of damping during slow compression movements, such as when accelerating or on long undulations
- High-speed compression: adjustment of damping during fast compression movements, such as potholes or hard terrain edges
- Spring preload: hydraulic via handwheel, more than 60 clicks
Technical Details
- 46 mm piston diameter
- 16 mm piston rod made of hardened 42CrMo steel
- Aluminum body
- External, fixed-mounted reservoir
- PDSII bottom-out protection
- Hydraulic Preload Adjuster (HPA), handwheel freely positionable via hose
- Fully serviceable and individually tunable
PDSII Bottom-out Protection
The PDSII system works with an additional piston that creates progressive damping towards the end of the stroke. This reduces hard bottoming out during heavy impacts or jumps.
Available Heights
The shock absorber is available in four different versions:
- Standard height
- 20 mm lowering
- 35 mm lowering
- 25 mm raising
For the lowered versions, an adjustment of the side stand and center stand may be necessary.
We recommend matching the suspension height of the front and rear wheels. Ideally, the shock absorber should be combined with a correspondingly adjusted fork cartridge.
Individual Calibration
We calibrate the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.
For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and a brief note regarding your primary area of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).
You can simply send this information to us via email or reply directly to the order confirmation.
The shock absorber comes standard with an 80 N/mm spring (35 mm lowering and 25 mm raising: 85 N/mm). Softer or harder springs are also available depending on rider weight and intended use.
