X-TREME Shock Absorber + HPA Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme 2022-2024, TracTive

The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, fully adjustable shock absorber featuring an external reservoir, hydraulic preload adjuster (HPA), and PDSII bottoming control.

The damping setup has been specially developed for the Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme. Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently of each other. The compression damping additionally features separate high- and low-speed adjustments.

The external reservoir provides a larger oil volume and better heat dissipation. This ensures that the damping performance remains as consistent as possible even under high loads, such as on long off-road stages.

The hydraulic preload adjuster's handwheel allows the shock to be quickly adjusted to different load conditions without the need for tools.

The shock absorber is also available as an X-TREME version without the hydraulic preload adjuster.

Adjustment Options

Rebound: approx. 18 clicks
Low-speed compression: adjustment of damping during slow compression movements, for example when accelerating or hitting long undulations
High-speed compression: adjustment of damping during fast compression movements, for example when hitting potholes or hard terrain edges
Spring preload: hydraulic via handwheel, more than 60 clicks

PDSII Bottoming Control

The PDSII system works with an additional piston that generates progressive damping towards the end of the stroke. This reduces harsh bottoming out during heavy impacts or jumps.

Available Heights

The shock absorber is available in two different versions:

Standard height
25 mm lowering

For the lowered version, an adjustment of the side and center stands may be necessary.

We recommend matching the suspension height at the front and rear wheels. Ideally, the shock absorber is combined with a correspondingly adjusted fork cartridge.

Individual Tuning

We tune the shock absorber to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.

For this, we only need your rider weight including motorcycle gear and brief information about the primary area of use (road, touring, off-road, etc.).

The shock absorber is supplied as standard with an 80 N/mm spring. Depending on rider weight and intended use, softer or harder springs are also available.
