X-TREME Fork Cartridge KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2017-2020, TracTive
The TracTive X-TREME is a high-quality, closed cartridge kit for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R fork, featuring adjustable compression and rebound damping and a hydraulic end-stop.
Both cartridges are inserted into the fork legs without any modifications to the fork. Compression damping is adjusted at the top of the left fork leg, while rebound damping is adjusted at the top of the right fork leg.
Each cartridge features a closed design and operates like an independent, pressurized shock absorber with its own damping oil. The large 35 mm piston allows for high oil flow and ensures stable, highly controllable damping performance.
The cartridges were developed in close cooperation with adventure and rally riders. The result is significantly better off-road handling while maintaining comfort on long-distance rides.
For the best results, we recommend replacing the shock absorber and the fork cartridge at the same time.
Adjustment options
- Compression: top of the left fork leg, 18 clicks
- Rebound: top of the right fork leg, 18 clicks
- Spring preload: on both fork legs, up to 12 mm adjustment range

Hydraulic end-stop
The hydraulic end-stop acts at the end of the fork travel. This reduces hard bottoming out during heavy impacts.
Individual tuning
We will tune the cartridge kit to your rider weight and intended use before delivery.
For this, we only need your rider weight including riding gear and a brief note on your primary type of use (street, touring, off-road, etc.).

The cartridge kit comes standard with 5.6 N/mm springs. Depending on rider weight and intended use, softer or harder springs are also available.
